Alter in Timings of Few Western Railway Suburban Local Trains: As per latest press release by Western Railway, the timings of few Western Railway’s suburban local services will be changed w.e.f. 04.01.2024. The timing have been altered by few minutes.

Alter in Timings of Few Western Railway Suburban Local Trains: According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the trains of which the timings have been changed are as under:-

  1. Train No. 92042 Virar – Churchgate Local departing from Virar at 08.01 hrs. will now depart from Virar at 07.55 hrs and will not have halt at Borivali.
  2. Train No. 94016 Virar – Churchgate AC Local departing from Virar at07.56 hrs. will now depart from Virar at 07.59 hrs.
  3. Train No. 92027 Churchgate – Virar Local departing from Churchgate at 06.40 hrs will now depart from Churchgate at 06.32 hrs.
  4. Train No. 92067 Churchgate – Borivali Local departing from Churchgate at 09.27 hrs. will now depart from Churchgate at 09.19 hrs.
  5. Train No. 94019 Churchgate – Virar AC Local departing from Churchgate at 09.19 hrs. will now depart from Churchgate at 09.23 hrs.
  6. Train No. 94021 Churchgate – Borivali AC Local departing from Churchgate at 09.24 hrs. will now depart from Churchgate at 09.27 hrs.

Extension of Winter Special Train between Bandra Terminus and Gandhidham

For the convenience of passengers and to clear the extra rush during the Winter season, Western Railway has decided to extend the run of weekly Special train o­n Special fare between Bandra Terminus and Gandhidham.

Train No. 09415/09416 Bandra Terminus – Gandhidham Weekly Special train Timings

Train no. 09145 Bandra Terminus to Gandhidham Special Train Timings

Train No. 09415 Bandra Terminus – Gandhidham Special will depart from Bandra Terminus every Thursday at 19.25 hrs and reach Gandhidham at 08.40 hrs, the next day. This train will run from 11th January, 2024 to 29th February, 2024.

TRAIN NO. 09146 GANDHIDHAM To BANDRA TERMINUS SPECIAL TRAIN TIMINGS

Train No. 09416 Gandhidham – Bandra Terminus Special will depart from Gandhidham every Thursday at 00.30 hrs and arrive Bandra Terminus at 14.20 hrs, the same day. This train will run from 11th January, 2024 to 29th February, 2024.

Bandra Terminus to Gandhidham Weekly Special train Halts

Enroute this train will halt at Borivali, Vapi, Surat, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Viramgam, Dhrangadhra, Samakhiali and Bhachau station in both directions.

Bandra Terminus to Gandhidham Weekly Special train Coaches

This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches.

Gandhidham To Bandra Terminus Weekly Special train Ticket Booking

The booking of extended trips ofTrain No. 09415/09416 will open from 05th January, 2024at PRS counters & o­n IRCTC website. For detailed information regarding timings of halts and composition, passengers may please visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in

Andheri Gokhale Bridge Reconstruction: Mumbai, the bustling metropolis often referred to as the ‘city that never sleeps,’ is set to witness a significant development with the reconstruction of the Gopal Krishna Gokhale Bridge in Andheri. This ambitious project has achieved a crucial milestone, paving the way for the reopening of a key east-west link in the western suburban area. Let’s delve into the details of western railway mega block for Gokhale Bridge Reconstruction on 2nd & 3rd January.

Breakthrough Achievement: Installation of First Girder

The Gokhale Bridge reconstruction project marked a breakthrough with the successful installation of the first girder, weighing approximately 1200 MT, between the night of December 2 and 3. This achievement sets the stage for reopening one lane on the bridge by February 15, 2024. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) spearheads this significant development in public transport infrastructure.

Western Railway Mega Block for Gokhale Bridge: In connection with the work of construction of Gokhale ROB, a major traffic and power block will be taken from 01.40 hrs to 04.40 hrs o­n UP and Down harbour lines, slow lines & fast lines as well as 5th & 6th lines in the intervening night of Tuesday/Wednesday i.e. 02nd/03rd January, 2024. Due to this block few Western Railway trains will be cancelled & regulated.

According to a press release issued by Shri Sumit Thakur – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the details of the trains which will be cancelled/regulated o­n 02nd /03rd January, 2024 are as under:

WR Mega Block: Cancellation of Mumbai Suburban Trains

  1. Train No. 92192 Virar – Andheri  local departing Virar at 22.18
  2. Train No. 92003 Andheri – Virar  local departing Andheri at 04.25.
  3. Train No. 92198 Vasai Road – Andheri  local departing Vasai Road at 23.15.
  4. Train No. 92005 Andheri – Virar  local departing Andheri at 04.40.
  5. Train No. 90002 Andheri – Churchgate  local departing Andheri at 04.05.
  6. Train No. 91047 Churchgate – Vile Parle  local departing Churchgate at 00.31.

WR Mega Block: Partially Cancellation of Mumbai Suburban Trains

  1. Train No. 91055 Churchgate- Borivali local departing from Churchgate at 01.00 hrs will run upto Bandra & will be partially cancelled between Bandra & Borivali.
  2. Train No. 90004 Borivali-Churchgate local departing from Borivali at 03.50 hrs will be partially cancelled between Borivali & Bandra and will be run from Bandra.

  1. Train No. 90006 Virar – Churchgate  local departing Virar at 03.25 will be regulated by 00.15 min. 
  2. Train No. 90008 Borivali – Churchgate  local departing Borivali at 04.05 will be regulated by 00.15 min. 
  3. Train No. 90012 Virar – Borivali  local departing Virar at 03.35 will be regulated by 00.10 min.

  1. Train No. 19038 Barauni-Bandra Terminus Avadh Express will be regulated by 45 minutes at Borivali and will arrive at Bandra Terminus late by 60 Minutes.
  2. Train No. 22946 Okha-Mumbai Central Saurashtra Mail will be regulated by 30 minutes o­n Surat-Borivali section and will reach Mumbai Central 30 Minutes late.

Phased Dismantling and Project Impact

The Gopal Krishna Gokhale Bridge underwent a phased dismantling process between December 2022 and March 2023. While the installation of the first girder impacted a few long-distance trains, the local community eagerly awaits the reopening of this vital east-west connector in Andheri. The bridge has been closed since November 3, 2022, with the Western Railways initiating the demolition in December 2022 and completing the four-month-long process in March 2023.
